Gary Mauris

A serial entrepreneur, Gary Mauris is the CEO and Co-Founder of the DLC Group of Companies, which includes Dominion Lending Centres (DLC), Mortgage Centre Canada (MCC), Mortgage Architects (MA) and Newton Connectivity Systems Inc.

When Gary puts his mind to something, there is nothing that can stop him from achieving his goals. In 2006 he and his partner Chris Kayat launched Dominion Lending Centres, a business model that would change the mortgage landscape forever. In 2013, they acquired Mortgage Centre Canada, and in 2015 they purchased Mortgage Architects officially creating the DLC Group of Companies, and resulting in the largest network of mortgage professionals in Canada.

Outside of DLCG, Gary spends his time flying helicopters and recently acquired his commercial pilot license. His is meticulous, passionate and dedicated to his craft and wants to make the mortgage space a better place for all to succeed.

Face The Nation

Gary is considered a serial entrepreneur who has had two previous exits through either private equity or the public markets in his past. In addition to this, Gary is often called upon by the media and other outside parties for his expert opinion. He was one of the 10 Canadians chosen by CBC to participate in Face The Nation, where he debated Canadian business and taxes with The Prime Minister on national television. Gary has also participated in the budget consultation with the Government and has presented to The Parliamentary Standing Committee. As a result of this, Gary is recognized in his community as Business Leader of the Year.
